FORD F150 BLOWER RESISTOR 1997-2003 FIX! Only blows on high – $20 (Short version)
If your 1997-2003 Ford F-150 A/C – heater fan only blows on high or doesn’t blow at the lower speeds, you most likely have a failed blower motor resistor. You could pay up to $400 to have a shop or the dealer replace it for you but you can do it yourself for as little as $20!
Tools needed: 8mm socket, ratchet, and small ratchet extension.
Unplug the negative battery terminal for safety. The resistor needs air flow to dissipate heat so do not test it longer than 10 seconds outside your blower housing. Good luck!
